Let me start off with my Labor with Jayton: We went in on Monday August 1st at 6:00pm. We started fluids and something to help my cervix. Then Tuesday August 2nd, Dr.Flowers (my OB) came in and broke my water about 4:30AM! I started pushing at 6:46pm August 2nd, and had Jayton at 6:58pm! He was 7lb 15oz and 20 1/4 inches long! Boy my world was rocked! Everything went perfectly fine, except when he was born they had to take him off of me right away because he did swallow a lot of fluid and wasn't crying the way the nurses wanted! After a few minuets (what seemed like HOURS!) he was perfectly fine and back in my arms! THEN, the nurses noticed he wasn't gaining any color, so they once again took him from me and had to put him under a light to warm him up. After 30 minutes under the light, he gained color and we went to our recovery room!
The first month Jayton was home, I (just like any first time mom) was so nervous. I was always questioning everything, am I doing this right, is he getting enough food, is he getting too much food, should i wake him and feed him, does he have gas, is something hurting him..etc. But I slowly began to figure out what each cry meant and we began to get a routine and he slowly slept longer and longer! I started to feel more secure about being a mommy!

I promise I will keep up with this from now on!!
Such a lil' cutie pie!!
